Privacy Policy

GleamBag (gleambag.com) is built so that we know as little about you and your files as possible. This policy explains exactly what happens to the files you convert and the limited data we process.

1. Files converted in your browser

The following converters run entirely on your own device. Your files are never uploaded to us or anyone else:

• JPG to PDF
• PNG to PDF
• TIFF to PDF
• PNG to JPG
• HEIC to JPG
• SVG to PNG
• MP4 to MP3
• WAV to MP3
• MP4 to GIF
• GIF to MP4
• MOV to MP4
• WEBM to MP4

2. Files converted on our servers

All other converters need professional software that cannot run in a browser. For these:

• Your file is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
• It is stored only in a temporary, isolated folder while it is being converted.
• The original and the converted file are permanently deleted as soon as the result has been sent back to you. Failed conversions are deleted immediately.
• We never open, read, copy, analyse, sell or share the contents of your files, and we never use them to train any AI model.

For the HTML to PDF tool, the web address you enter is used only to load that page and create your PDF.

3. Data we process

• Technical data: your IP address is kept in memory for up to one hour to apply fair-use limits and protect the service from abuse. It is not stored in a database or linked to your files.
• Server logs: our hosting provider may keep standard logs (time, page requested, browser type) for security, which are deleted automatically.
• Preferences: your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email or payment details.

4. Analytics and cookies

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand which pages and converters are used so we can improve them. Umami does not use cookies, does not track you across websites and does not collect personal data. It records anonymous information such as the page visited, the referring website, the browser, the device type, the country, and which converter was used and whether it succeeded. It never receives your file names or file contents.

GleamBag does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add advertising, this policy will be updated first and, where required by law, we will ask for your consent.

5. Your rights

Because we do not keep your files or build profiles about you, there is usually no personal data for us to return or delete. You can still contact us at info@gleambag.com with any privacy question or request under the GDPR, CCPA or other laws.

6. Children

GleamBag is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
